WHOC Falls to Northeastern in Hockey East Final

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The UConn women's hockey team fell to Northeastern, 9-1, in the Hockey East Championship game Saturday afternoon at Lawler Rink. The Huskies close the door on the 2019-20 season, ending the year with a 19-18-2 overall mark.
Catherine Crawley produced the lone UConn tally, with Morgan Wabick and Ainsley Svetek providing the assists. Morgan Fisher racked up 27 saves in the defeat.
Northeastern jumped out to an early 2-0 lead behind goals from Fontaine (6:27) and Schryver (14:17).
The Huskies got one back off the stick of Crawley, who slipped home the rebound at 16:47 after Wabick's initial shot was deflected away to pull UConn within a goal.
Northeastern proceeded to score seven unanswered goals to capture its third Hockey East title.
