UConn MBB Announces Home Venue Splits

STORRS, Conn. – The 16 home games on the 2021-22 UConn men's basketball schedule will be evenly split between Gampel Pavilion in Storrs and the XL Center in Hartford, the school announced today.
The team's 10 BIG EAST Conference home games will also be evenly split with five at each venue.
The 2021-22 season begins at Gampel Pavilion against intrastate opponent Central Connecticut on Nov. 9. Other non-conference opponents at Gampel include Long Island (Nov. 17) and Grambling State (Dec. 4).
The first opponent for the Huskies at the XL Center will be Coppin State on Nov. 13. Other non-conference opponents at the XL Center are Binghamton (Nov. 20) and Maryland-Eastern Shore (Nov. 30).
When it comes to BIG EAST opponents at the XL Center, they begin with UConn's conference opener against Providence on Dec. 18, and also include Butler (Jan. 1), Creighton (Feb. 1), Marquette (Feb. 8), and Villanova (Feb. 22).
At Gampel Pavilion, the BIG EAST opponents are St. John's (Jan. 12), Georgetown (Jan. 25), Seton Hall (Feb. 16), Xavier (Feb. 19) and the regular-season finale against DePaul (March 5).
Face coverings are required inside Gampel Pavilion and XL Center, regardless of vaccination status, unless actively eating or drinking.
In other UConn scheduling news, West Virginia has announced that the BIG EAST-Big 12 Challenge game against UConn on Dec. 8 in Morgantown will be played at 7 p.m., televised by ESPN2.
