Lawren and Ray DiDonna

We've been UConn fans and supporters since we both stepped on campus in the fall of 1980. Coming from different backgrounds and different states (Massachusetts and New York), it was serendipity that we met (in a class), fell in love, and married right after graduation.
We've spent our lives together in Connecticut since then and raised our family to be UConn fans (although we couldn't convince either daughter to attend). We've been especially proud of how UConn has put an emphasis on women's athletics -- a national leader in that regard. We've been donors and season ticket holders of the women's basketball team for many years now, and have more recently started to enjoy watching the softball team, the volleyball team, and the soccer team. We also became members of the 1891 Society... by adding UConn Athletics to our estate plans. Giving back is our way of staying in touch with our UConn roots--literally where we met and fell in love. We are huskies forever.

As we move into October, we are grateful to introduce Lawren ’84 and Ray DiDonna ‘84 as our Donors of the Month. The DiDonna’s have been UConn Women’s Basketball season ticket holders for years and support many of our other teams, such as women’s soccer, softball, and volleyball.

Along with being active donors for several years, the DiDonna’s have also joined the 1891 Society by adding UConn Athletics to their estate plans. If you would like to learn more about the 1891 Society, click HERE.
