Parker Repeats as BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week

NEW YORK - For the second straight week, senior Caylee Parker of the UConn women's volleyball team has been named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference Monday.
Parker continued her tear on the BIG EAST as she led all players with 4.33 kills per set to earn her third offensive player of the week honor this season. The senior posted her ninth double-double in a five-set win at St. John's, recording a game-high 22 kills to go with 10 digs. With the win, UConn clinched a spot in the BIG EAST Championship, reached 12 BIG EAST wins for the first time in program history, and earned its first 20-win season since 2008.
The product of Windsor, Ontario followed by leading all players in kills once again with 17 at Seton Hall, and added in eight digs and five blocks. For the weekend, Parker totaled 39 kills on a .367 hitting percentage.
UConn returns to Gampel Pavilion this week to close out the regular season against Butler and Xavier.
