Football Closes Out 2021 With 45-17 Loss Against No. 19/16 Houston

EAST HARTFORD - The UConn football team (1-11) closed out the 2021 season with a 45-17 loss to Houston (11-1) on Saturday afternoon at Pratt and Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field.
Down 14-0 in the second quarter, Steven Krajewski completed a 34-yard touchdown pass to Kevens Clercius to cut the deficit in half, 14-7.Â
Malix Dixon provided a highlight on the defensive side of the ball with an interception in the fourth quarter that was returned 37 yards for a touchdown.Â
Quarterback Micah Leon came off the bench, after an injury to Krajewski, and was 10-13 for 62 yards.
Ian Swenson posted a team-high 12 tackles while Mitchell Jackson added nine.Â
