No. 2 UConn Begins Five-Game Road Stint at Georgetown

STORRS, Conn. – The second-ranked UConn women's basketball team (15-1, 12-0 BIG EAST) begins a five-game road game stint at Georgetown (1-9, 1-9 BIG EAST) Friday at 6 p.m. The game will air on CBS Sports Network and 97-9 ESPN.
The Huskies are coming off a 70-49 win over Seton Hall on Wednesday. Freshmen Paige Bueckers scored 20+ points for the sixth straight game, notching 23 against the Pirates. UConn had a slow start, trailing six at the end of the first quarter and one at halftime. The Huskies recovered to hold Seton Hall to just six fourth-quarter points. Junior Olivia Nelson-Ododa had her fourth double-double of the season with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
UConn is 46-6 all-time vs. Georgetown. The Huskies have won the last 29 meetings, dating back to 1993. This is the second meeting between the teams this season. On Jan. 23, Olivia Nelson-Ododa led the Huskies with 19 points and nine rebounds in a 72-41 win in Gampel Pavilion.
Georgetown is coming off a 60-52 loss to Seton Hall on Monday. Kelsey Ransom leads the Hoyas with 11.1 points per game while Milan Morris-Bolden is second with 10.9. Head coach James Howard is in his fourth season at Georgetown.
UConn is on the road for the rest of February as the Huskies are scheduled to play their next five games on the road. The Huskies' game at Georgetown is the team's fifth in 10 days.
