Watson Earns Inside Lacrosse All-American Nod

STORRS, Conn. - UConn senior Sydney Watson (Prince Fredrick, Md.) added another post season honor to her collection with the announcement on Friday of the InsideLacrosse.com 2021 ILWomen's Division I Media All-Americans. Watson was selected as a second team honoree after a stellar spring season.
She has also earned USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American honors this postseason as well as being named to the IWLCA All-Northeast Region first team earlier this week. She was the unanimous BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year and an all-conference first team pick as well. She was named one of 25 nominees for this year's Tewaarton Award
Watson played 17 games this season and piled up 69 points on 56 goals and 13 assists. She took 126 shots, had five game-winning goals and scored 15 times on free position attempts. She was tops in the BIG EAST in goals, goals per game and free position goals. She also led the conference with 136 draw controls on the year, ninth nationally at 8.00 per game. Â
