SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The UConn baseball team (34-17) defeated Michigan, 6-1, to advance to the winner's bracket of the South Bend Regional to face Notre Dame on Saturday at 6 p.m. on ESPN3.

The Huskies were led by left fielder Erik Stock, who went 4-4 with three RBIs at the dish to help lift the Huskies to its 11th win in its last 12 ballgames.

Stock got the scoring going for the Huskies with an RBI single in the third to give UConn an early 1-0 advantage and then capped the scoring with a two-run double in the seventh to push the lead to 6-1.

After a Ted Burton solo homer tied the game in the fourth, UConn reclaimed the lead in the sixth after Stock led off the inning with a single and advanced to third on a perfectly executed hit-and-run by Christian Fedko.

Reggie Crawford gave the Huskies the lead with an RBI single to right and the big man came around to score on a two-run infield single for Chris Brown to extend the UConn lead to 4-1.

Austin Peterson was solid on the bump for the Huskies with 5.2 innings of work, allowing jus two hits and one run while punching out seven.

Randy Polonia came out of the pen and earned the win with 1.1 innings of hitless ball. Garrett Coe (1.1 IP) and Caleb Wurster (0.2 IP) grabbed the final six outs to secure the victory.

Reggie Crawford has eight career RBIs in five games against the Wolverines.
