Huskies Named an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad

STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's lacrosse was recognized as a 2021 IWLCA Academic Honor Squad while nine Huskies were named to the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll.
In total, the IWLCA honored 862 student-athletes from 103 different institutions on the 2021 honor roll. To be eligible, student athetes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.  To earn team honors, the IWLCA recognizes a team who has posted a 3.20 or higher GPA for the academic year. For 2020-21, the IWLCA recognized 319 schools acrosse Division I, II, III and NAIA.
This season, nine Huskies earned the honor of making the honor roll led by graduate student Alyssa Conklin (Sloatsburg, N.Y.). Rounding out the UConn list of honorees was seniors Jacqueline Manno (South Salem, N.Y.), Samanatha McKenna (Fayetteville, N.Y.), Katherine Parker (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) and Abby Vetsch (Marcellus, N.Y.) and juniors Grace Coon (Marcellus, N.Y.), Gillian Haverty (West Hartford, Conn.), Julia Ozimek (New Caanan, Conn.) and Landyn White (Alpharetta, Ga.).
