Parker Named Preseason All-BIG EAST

NEW YORK – UConn volleyball senior outside hitter Caylee Parker was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team, as announced by the league Thursday.
In spring 2021, Parker led UConn with 3.67 kills per set and was second on the team with 2.64 digs per set. She posted double-digit kills in nine of 10 matches she appeared in, as well as five double-doubles.
Parker has led UConn in kills and kills per set in each of her previous three seasons at UConn.
UConn was voted to finish sixth in the Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Huskies tied with DePaul.
The Huskies open the 2021 season at the Syracuse Invitational on Aug. 27 and 28 vs. Albany, the Orange and Buffalo.
