Huskies Host Yale Tuesday Night

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men's soccer team returns to action to host the Yale Bulldogs on Tuesday night. Kickoff is slated for 7:00pm at Morrone Stadium at the Rizza Family Sports Complex.

Last Time Out
The Huskies defeated Monmouth 1-0 on Saturday night at Morrone Stadium. Freshman Okem Chime put away a rebound from sophomore Moussa Wade's direct free kick in the second half of extra time to win the game for UConn. Chime now has three goals in three games this season. Graduate student Jahmali Waite recorded five saves against the Hawks, earning his second clean sheet of the season.
Scouting the Bulldogs
The Bulldogs enter Tuesday's contest with a 2-1 overall record. Yale opened the campaign with a 3-2 win over Fairfield before falling to Villanova 2-1. Last time out, the Bulldogs defeated UMass Lowell 4-1 thanks to a pair of goals from Paolo Carroll, the team's leading scorer with three goals and an assist for seven points. Eric Lagos has also scored three times in Yale's opening three games.
Matchup History
Tuesday night will be the 74th meeting between the Huskies and Bulldogs. UConn holds a 41-28-4 overall record against Yale, winning 11 of the last 13 matchups since 2006. The last time these two teams met, Yale came out on top with a 3-0 win on September 11, 2019. The Huskies also have a 22-15-2 home record against the Bulldogs, last losing at home in 2003.
