Three Huskies Represent Team China in Beijing 2022 Olympics

STORRS, Conn. – The University of Connecticut women's ice hockey team will be represented in the Beijing Olympics by three players. Announced on January 27, Camryn Wong, Tia Chan, and alumni Leah Lum all will be featured on Team China's 2022 Olympic Roster.
Leah Lum was a key member of the Huskies from 2014 through 2018. Lum would finish her career having played in 148 games scoring 42 goals and adding 60 assists for 102 career points. Following her career with the Huskies, Lum would go on to play professional Hockey and is currently playing for the KRS Vanke Rays.
Both Camryn Wong and Tia Chan deferred a year of eligibility to tryout and be a part of Team China's Olympic roster. As a freshman, Tia Chan appeared in 10 games allowing 15 goals for 1.5 goals against average and made 267 saves for a .947 save percentage. Prior to deferring a year, Camryn Wong played in a career 95 games, scoring five goals and adding 12 assists for 17 points.
Olympic action will begin February 3 with the women's preliminary round group games. Team China will be featured in Group B games. Women's playoff quarter-final games will begin February 11, with semi-finals and gold medal championship games being played February 14 and February 17 respectively.
