WSOC Faces Seton Hall On Senior Night

STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's soccer team (7-6-3, 3-4-2 BIG EAST) plays for a spot in the BIG EAST Championship with a Senior Night matchup against Seton Hall on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Morrone Stadium.
The Huskies will honor its six seniors; Jessica Mazo, Kara Long, Emma Zaccagnini, Cara Jordan, Jackie Harnett and Duda Santin prior to the match.
UConn enters the final day of the regular season tied for the sixth and final spot in the BIG EAST Championship with Marquette. Scenarios for Huskies to make the tournament are listed below.Â
· With a win (14 pts.) and MU loss or tie and a CU/BU draw UC is #6.
· With a win (14 pts.) and a CU win, BU is #5 and UC is #6.
· With a win (14 pts.) and a BU win, UC is #5 and CU is #6.
· With a win (14 pts.) and a MU win, and BU loss there is a 3-wy tie for 5th. MU is #5, BU is #6 and UC is OUT.
· With a draw (12 pts.) and a MU loss, a VU/PC draw UC is #6.
· With a draw (12 pts.) and a MU or VU win, UC is OUT.
· With a draw (12 pts.) and a MU loss and VU loss/PC win, UC is #6.
· With a draw (12 pts.) and a MU draw, a PC win/VU loss, UC is #6.
· With a loss (11 pts.) and a MU loss, VU/PC draw, UC is #6
· With a loss (11 pts.) and a MU win or draw, UC is OUT.
· With a loss (11 pts.) and a MU loss and a VU or PC win, UC is OUT.
The Huskies are 13-0 all-time against the Pirates since the two teams first played in 1995. UConn won 2-1 last season with Sophie McCarthy scoring her first career goal that eventually was the game-winner.Â
UConn enters Thursday's night match with the top average attendance mark in the BIG EAST Conference with an average of 1,351 fans. The mark ranks 12th nationally in Division I.Â
