Huskies Set For Two Game Series Against Maine

STORRS, Conn. - Â The University of Connecticut women's hockey team is set to host the University of Maine for a two-game series October 28 and 29 at the Freitas Ice Forum. Both games can be streamed on ESPN+.
UConn enters the matchup vs. Maine posting a 5-3-2 overall record and a 1-3-2 record in Hockey East Action. UConn is coming off a 1-0-1 weekend in which they beat Merrimack 3-0 followed by a come from behind shootout victory over the warriors.
12 Huskies have scored a goal at least one goal this season, while 18 have registered at least one point. Coryn Tormala, Claire Peterson, and Carlie Magier currently lead UConn with three goals, while Tormala leads the team with eight total points.
The University of Maine enters the matchup vs. UConn posting a 5-4-0 overall record and a 3-1-0 record in Hockey East Action. The black bears are coming off a 1-1 weekend in which they lost to No.3 Northeastern followed by a 1-0 win over No. 3 Northeastern. Leading the way for Maine is Ida Kuoppala with 10 goals and five assists for 15 points.
