No. 12 FH Overpowers Quinnipiac At Home

The No. 12 UConn field hockey team (8-3, 3-1) defeated in-state BIG EAST foe, Quinnipiac University (4-7, 0-4) at home on a beautiful October Friday afternoon in Storrs, CT.
The game started slow for the Huskies, with the Bobcats capitalizing early in the first quarter. Julia Bressler answered back for UConn late into the second quarter to even the score at 1-1 going into halftime.
The Huskies had all the momentum in the second half, holding the Bobcats both scoreless and shotless for the reminder of the game. Madi Herb put a shot on net for a goal to put UConn on top in the third quarter. Jasmijn Damman added in her own pair of goals late in the fourth quarter to solidify the win.
The No. 12 UConn Huskies will host the No. 1 UNC Tarheels at home on Sunday in their biggest matchup of the year at 1:00pm at the George J. Sherman Family Sports Complex.
