WSOC Heads to First Place Xavier

CINCINNATI - The UConn women's soccer team (6-4-1, 2-2 BIG EAST) head to Corcoran Field to face first place Xavier (10-2-2, 4-0-1 BIG EAST) on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.

The Huskies are coming off a 2-1 road victory at Marquette last Sunday. It was the first time UConn had won a match in Milwaukee.

UConn has had success in the Midwest this season with victories at Creighton and Marquette.

The Huskies and Musketeers offenses are two of the best in the BIG EAST with UConn tied for the most goals in the conference with 22. Xavier has scored 21 goals this season.

Xavier's defense ranks second in the league with eight shutouts on the year.

Jada Konte leads the Huskies and ranks second in the BIG EAST Conference with 11 points and also ranks second with .0.40 goals per game mark.

Abbey Jones remains tied for the league lead with four assists on the season.

The only meeting between the two programs came last season in Storrs. The Musketeers won 1-0 with the only goal coming in the sixth minute.
