Huskies Set for Another Big East Road Trip

Storrs, Conn. - The University of Connecticut women's volleyball team is set for a second consecutive two-game road trip this weekend. The Huskies will face Xavier Friday, November 4 at 6 PM and Creighton on Sunday, November 6 at 12 PM.
UConn enters the Big East matchups 13-10 overall and 7-5 in Big East conference play. UConn will look to extend their six-game win streak this weekend. Currently, they are placed fifth in the standings as the conference tournament quickly approaches.
The top six teams in the standings travel to Omaha, Nebraska for the post season. Xavier sits in the third spot and Creighton currently sits atop the leaderboard with a 12-0 conference record.
Guiding the way for the Huskies is senior Caylee Parker with 259 kills and four points per set. Closely behind Parker is Jasmine Davis with 255 kills and four points per set. In addition, Allie Garland and Kennadie Jake-Turner combine for 345 total kills.
Heading into the matchup between Xavier, Xavier is posting a 15-7 overall record and an 8-4 conference record. Leading the way is Brooklyn Cink with 272 kills and four points per set. Behind Cink is Delaney Hogan with 167 kills and three points per set. The last time UConn and Xavier met; UConn took a 3-1 victory this season.
Heading into the matchup between Creighton, Creighton is 20-3 overall and 12-0 in conference play. Leading the way is Norah Sis with 362 kills and four kills per set. In addition, Keeley Davis and Kiana Schmitt combine for 403 total kills. UConn and Creighton have faced each other only four times with a 2-2 record dating back to 2009.
