FH Falls to Rival, Liberty, in BIG EAST Tournament

NORFOLK, Va. - The No. 14 UConn field hockey team (11-7, 5-3 BIG EAST) lost to No. 19 Liberty in the semi-final game of the BIG EAST Championship Tournament on Friday afternoon at Old Dominion University.
Julia Bressler, freshman forward for the Huskies, scored the first goal of the game early into the match. The Flames followed that up with a goal in the second quarter and in the fourth quarter, on a penalty corner, to solidify their win.
The UConn attack outshot Liberty 16-8, led by Julia Bressler, Sol Simone, Claire Jandewerth, and Jasmijn Damman.
The Huskies lost to the Flames during the regular season on September 23 at home in Storrs, CT.
