12/22/2022 1:00:00 PM | Men's Ice Hockey, Women's Ice Hockey
The UConn Division of Athletics will host an exclusive ribbon cutting event and grand opening reception for the Toscano Family Ice Forum on Thursday, January 12 to officially open the new home for the UConn men's and women's hockey programs.
Thursday night's event will kick-off a weekend of Hockey East action and the first games to be played at the new state-of-the-art, on-campus rink.Â
The UConn women will host Merrimack on Friday, January 13 at 6 pm. Saturday, January 14 will feature a doubleheader with the women facing Vermont at 2 pm and the men taking on Northeastern at 7:35 p.m.
General admission tickets will be available for the six remaining women's home games at the Toscano Family Ice Forum this season. Admission will be free through a ticket claim process on UConnTickets.com. Â
For the remainder of the 2022-23 men's home schedule, season ticket holders have been assigned seats at the new arena. Due to the high demand, there will not be tickets available for public sale for the final five home games.
If season ticket holders opted in to be assigned seats at the new arena, the tickets will be in their online UConn account by Friday, January 6.
Students will have the ability to begin claiming tickets to the Men's and Women's opening weekend games on January 4. All other games will have a claim process open shortly thereafter.
For the 2023-24 season, there will be an online seat selection process to pick your renewable seats. The online seat selection process will be held in the spring of 2023.Â
The opening weekend of events concludes on Sunday, January 15 with rink tours available to fans and students from 11 am through 1 pm.  Fans and students interested in taking a self-walking tour through the Toscano Family Ice Forum will need to claim a ticket through UConnTickets.com. The deadline to claim a spot will be Monday, January 9.
Parking for eligible Husky Athletic Fund members with hockey season tickets will be located adjacent to the Toscano Family Ice Forum and assigned by donor level and priority points within each level. General parking will be located in the South Garage. Further information regarding parking will be forthcoming.
