No. 8 UConn to Face DePaul for Pink Game Friday

STORRS, Conn. – The No. 8 UConn women's basketball team (15-5, 9-1 BIG EAST) hosts DePaul (19-6, 11-3) Friday at 7 p.m. in Gampel Pavilion. The game will air on SNY and the UConn Sports Network.
All attendees to UConn athletic contests will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test. For more information on the policy, click HERE. Masks are required, except while actively eating and drinking, at UConn events.
UConn's game vs. DePaul will be a Play4Kay Pink Game and fans are encouraged to wear pink in honor of those affected by breast cancer.
UConn fell to Villanova, 72-69, Wednesday evening in the XL Center. Freshman Azzi Fudd scored a season-high 29 points while senior Christyn Williams added 24. The game was UConn's first conference loss since March 12, 2013, breaking a streak of 169 wins (including conference tournament games).
UConn is 20-1 all-time vs. DePaul, including 20-0 under Geno Auriemma. UConn beat DePaul, 80-78, in Chicago on Jan. 26. Freshman Caroline Ducharme led the Huskies with 19 points in the game, including the game-winning layup with :01 remaining.
DePaul beat Providence, 88-67, last Sunday. This season, freshman Aneesah Morrow leads DePaul with 20.6 points and 13.4 rebounds per game. The Blue Demons lead the nation with 90.2 points per game. Head coach Doug Bruno is in his 36th season at DePaul.
