HookC 10-Game Win Streak Snapped

MALIBU, Calif. - The UConn baseball team (11-2) rallied back against Pepperdine but ultimately fell 6-5 to snap its 10-game win streak on Sunday afternoon at Eddy Field.
The Huskies trailed 6-2 with two outs in the eighth inning but first baseman Ben Huber clobbered a three-run homer to cut the deficit to, 6-5.
Christian Fedko led off the ninth with a double and pinch runner David Smith moved to third on a wild pitch. However the Huskies were unable to bring the tying run home.
Korey Morton hit his first career home run in the third inning to tie the game up at 1-1.
Brady Afthim had a standout performance out of the bullpen by striking out the side in the 8th inning.Â
UConn will return to action against USC on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. PT.
