HookC Loses to Long Beach State, 7-1

LONG BEACH, Calif. - The UConn baseball team (12-3) lost to Long Beach State, 7-1, on Wednesday night at Blair Field.
The Huskies recorded a season-low two hits and issued a season-high 12 walks as a pitching staff.
Zach Bushling recorded the first hit of the ballgame with a single to begin the seventh and added a sac fly to plate the Huskies only run in the 9th.
Cole Chudoba recorded a 1-2-3 seventh inning while Jack Sullivan got out of a bases loaded, no out jam in the eighth.
UConn committed three errors defensively but did turn a season-high three double plays.
Braden Quinn (1.2 IP) and Devin Kirby (1.1 IP) both recorded career-highs in innings pitched on Wednesday.
Next up, the Huskies head to San Diego to play a three-game series at UC San Diego beginning on Saturday at 9 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. PT.
