STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's volleyball team has announced three more members to the 2026 signing class, head coach Ellen Herman-Kimball announced Friday.
Eli Adams, Audrey Rome, and Brenna Wyman will round out the six-member incoming freshman class this coming fall. Jessica Perry, Kasen Rosenthal and Emma Werkmeister previously signed their National Letters of Intent in November.
"We are beyond excited to complete the class of 2022 by adding these three remarkable young women to the UConn volleyball family," remarked Herman-Kimball. "All three of them bring different strengths, but one commonalty is that they hold themselves to high standards and are incredible people. They fit perfectly within our trajectory to chase and obtain championship experience and culture."
Eli Adams
6-2 | MB/RS | Clarkston, Mich. | Clarkston
Before UConn: All-state academic, all-region and all-conference selection at Clarkston … Led Clarkston to the district championship, regional championship, and the state championship match … Played three years with Legacy Volleyball.
Herman-Kimball on Adams: "Eli is an all-around solid young woman. She, like all of her future teammates, is an extremely hard worker, both on and off the floor. She plays with a chip on her shoulder and with an intensity that brings next-level competitiveness out of her teammates. We are excited to watch her grow and add her grittiness to the group."
Audrey Rome
6-4 | MH | Sandwich, Ill. | Sandwich
Before UConn: Three-time all-conference selection at Sandwich … 2021-22 all-area … Played three years with Sports Performance, where it won two Bluegrass championships and was the AAU 18open runner-up.
Herman-Kimball on Rome: "We think one of the biggest attributes of Audrey is her ability to push herself outside her comfort zone and her clear physical presence at the net. She comes from an area of the country where she is exposed to elite level volleyball and trains with some of the best volleyball players in the country. Her calm and consistent demeanor will add value to our well-established group."
Brenna Wyman
5-8 | DS/L | Louisville, Ky. | Assumption
Before UConn: Team captain and two-time first team academic all-state at Assumption … 2021 AVCA High School All-America Watchlist … 2021 KVCA Preseason Watchlist … Prep Volleyball Club Preseason Libero Recognition … Led Assumption to two district championships and one regional championship.
Herman-Kimball on Wyman: "One of many things that caught our eye about Brenna is that she comes from very high caliber of high school and club volleyball. Her ability to see the floor and almost predict the future of the play is a skill that does not come naturally to most. She is an extremely hard worker, but most certainly leads by example and wants nothing but the best for her and her teammates. We are thrilled to add Brenna to the squad as she will add control and composure to the court, but also blend in with our volleyball family."
