Storrs, CT – UConn wins second straight game on a walk off hit. Take the first game from DePaul.

Meghan O'Neil got the start in game one for the Huskies. She went 4.1 innings striking out six and only giving up four hits.

DePaul would open the scoring in the third inning taking a 1-0 lead.

The Huskies responded quickly in the bottom half of the third tying the game at one. The Huskies took the lead in the fourth 4-1. Oliva Sappington delivered a solo homer for the second game in a row. Briana Marcelino singled up the middle to score two, extending the lead to three runs.

DePaul would respond in the fifth with four runs giving the Blue Demons the lead, 5-4.

The Huskies scored two in the fifth to regain the lead, 6-5. Sappington hit a sac fly to score Rosie Garcia. Aziah James singled to score Sami Barnett.

DePaul tied the game at six in the top half of the seventh.

The game would head to extras where Marcelino delivered the game winning homer in the eighth inning to give the Huskies the win. This is the second game in a row the Huskies have won in walk off fashion.

UConn now moves to 16-11 on the season and 6-1 in BIG EAST play. They will be in action tomorrow against DePaul at 12:00pm.
