Warrener Name USCHO To All-Rookie Team

STORRS, Conn. - Freshman goaltender Megan Warrener has been named to the USCHO All-Rookie team announced Friday April 1.
Warrener is coming off an impressive freshman season in which she posted a 12-3-1 overall record with five shutouts. The Stony Creek Ontario native, came up huge for the Huskies in the post season, helping lead UConn to their third Hockey East championship game in the last five years, which included wins over Boston University and Vermont.
Megan Warrener started 15 total games for the Huskies, making 357 saves while allowing 21 goals. Following the season Warrener finished with a 1.28 goal against average and a .944 save percentage. The 1.28 GAA and .944 save percentage currently rank Warrener first amongst all current and former UConn goalies for the season record this past year. In addition, Warrener will finish tied for second in the Huskies record books for a season performance with five total shutouts during the 21-22 season.
