Watson Claims Fifth BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week Honor

NEW YORK - For the fifth time this season and second week in a row, senior Sydney Watson of the UConn women's lacrosse team has been named the BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week, the conference released Monday.
Just two weeks after breaking her own single-game draw control record, Watson broke the mark again with 20 draw controls in a 14-13 overtime setback at Denver. Watson was UConn's primary facilitator on the attack as she dished out a career high four assists, and also found the back of the net twice. Her second goal was the 187th of her career and broke the program's career scoring record.
Watson and the 2022 senior class will be honored on Saturday, April 16 as the Huskies welcome Villanova for Senior Day.
