No. 15 HookC One Hits Boston College to Win 11th Straight

BRIGHTON, Mass. – The No. 15 UConn baseball team (30-7) knocked off Boston College, 8-0, to win its 11th straight game on Wednesday night at the Harrington Athletics Village.
Freshman right-hander Ian Cooke (6-0) pitched a career-high eight shutout innings, allowed just one infield hit and struck out seven.
Christian Fedko started the UConn scoring with a two-out RBI single in the second to plate Matt Donlan.
Donlan followed suit in the third by capping a three-run frame with a two-out, two-run single to make it 4-0 Huskies.
Zach Bushling tacked on an RBI double and Stock collected his 24th multi-hit game with an RBI single in the eighth inning.
Brendan O'Donnell (0.2 IP) and Brady Afthim (0.1 IP) closed out the one-hitter with a scoreless ninth inning.
Next up, the Huskies host a three-game BIG EAST series against Villanova beginning on Friday, April 22 at 6:05 p.m.

- With the 11-game win streak, the Huskies tie their longest win streak since rattling off 11 in a row in 2016.
- The Huskies threw their first one-hitter since Anthony Marzi tossed a one-hitter against Cincinnati at Dodd Stadium on May 5, 2012.
