Taylor Wabick Named New England Hockey Writers Association All-Star

STORRS, Conn. – Graduate Student Taylor Wabick has been named a New England Hockey Writers Association All-Star for division I women's ice hockey.
The Winnipeg, Manitoba native had an amazing season anchoring the Huskies defense. As a top line defenseman Taylor Wabick, played a key role in the Huskies record setting season. Wabick finished this season with five goals 20 assist for 25 points. In addition to being a force on the offensive end of the ice, Wabick made her presence felt on the defensive end, blocking a total of 45 shots. Wabick not only helped UConn to a record-breaking season but had a record season of her own.
Wabick solidified her name in the UConn record books as one of the best defensemen in program history on February 18 when she notched an assist making her the program record holder for most assists as a defenseman in a career. Taylor Wabick finished her UConn career playing in 170 total games notching 15 goals, and 61 assists for 76 total points
