No. 25 HookC Loses Series Finale, 5-4

KENT, Ohio – The No. 25 UConn baseball team (19-7) lost the series finale, 5-4, at Kent State on Sunday afternoon at Schoonover Stadium.
The Huskies took the lead in the second on a three-run home run off the bat of Matt Donlan. It was the fourth home run of the season for the UConn catcher and made it 3-2 Huskies.
Kent State tied it up but the Huskies responded with a two-out rally in the fifth. Zach Bushling doubled to right and Bryan Padilla brought him home on an RBI single to give UConn a 4-3 advantage.
Kent State scored two runs in the late innings to take the lead and salvage the final game of the season.
Enzo Stefanoni made the start for the Huskies and pitched 4.1 innings, allowing four hits and three runs.
Bushling and Casey Dana each notched two hits on the afternoon.
UConn will head home for a five-game home stand at Elliot Ballpark that opens up on Tuesday, April 5 at 3:05 p.m. against CCSU.
