Tormala Named Captain for 2022-23 Season

STORRS, Conn.- The UConn women's hockey team will have a familiar face leading them for the upcoming 2022-23 season, as head coach Chris MacKenzie and the team have announced their team captain for the upcoming season.

Rising senior Coryn Tormala has been voted by her teammates as the Huskies captain for this season. Tormala has been a key contributor for the Huskies with plenty of experience having played in 96 total games. Tormala had a steady junior season, posting five goals and two assists for seven points.

Coryn Tormala has been willing to do whatever the team needs on a countless basis including putting her body on the line on the defensive side of the ice with 17 total blocks. Tormala has been apart of a UConn program that has continued to grow over the past three years and will look to continue build off past success as the team heads into next season.
