UConn Earns At-Large Bid in NCAA Tournament

STORRS, Conn. – For the second straight year, the UConn women's lacrosse team has earned an at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament and will matchup against James Madison in the first round.
This marks UConn's third NCAA Tournament appearance in program history. The Huskies squared off against Loyola in 2013 and faced Virginia in last season's dance.
UConn will head to Baltimore where sixth-seeded Loyola will host the first and second rounds of the tournament, starting on Friday, May 13. Loyola will matchup against Mount St. Mary's at 3 p.m. before UConn's rematch with JMU at 7 p.m. at the Ridley Athletic Complex.
The Huskies and Dukes clashed previously this season, with the Dukes using a second-half surge to earn a 13-7 decision.
