SB heads to Florida for T-Mobile Tournament

Gainesville, Fla. – The UConn softball team (1-2) travels to Florida this weekend for the T-Mobile Tournament hosted by the University of Florida.
The Huskies will open the tournament on Friday with two games, the first at 11:30am against Bowling Green (2-3). UConn will play the host school Florida (5-0) in the second game on Friday starting at 6:00pm. The Gators are currently ranked third in the national rankings and off to a hot start scoring in double digits runs in four out of their first five games.
On Saturday, UConn will match up with Florida again starting at 1:00pm. The Huskies will close out Saturday against Central Michigan. This weekend will be the first game action of the season for the Chippewas.
The Huskies will close out the weekend on Sunday in a rematch against Bowling Green.
UConn has been led by graduate senior Aziah James in the first three games of the season. She holds a .429 batting average with a .571 slugging percentage stealing three bases.
