» The UConn Huskies will host the first ever playoff game in Toscano Family Ice Forum as they welcome UMass Lowell for the Hockey East Quarterfinals
» This is the first ever playoff matchup between UMass Lowell and UConn in the Hockey East era
» This is the third year in a row the Huskies have hosted a Quarterfinal matchup and the fourth overall. Last season the Huskies took down Boston University and ended the run with an overtime loss to UMass in the championship game at the TD Garden.

» Freshman Jake Black, a recent addition to the lineup has made the most of his time on the ice, most recently scoring his first career goal to help the Huskies take down Boston College and secure Home Ice. » Before postseason play began, a few Huskies received recognition from the league for regular season awards. Junior Hudson Schandor was named the Len Ceglarski individual sportsmanship award, Matthew Wood was a unanimous selection to the All-Rookie Team, and Junior Ryan Tverberg was named as a Second Team All-Star.
