Roman Kinal Signs with San Jose Barracuda

STORRS, Conn. – Graduate Student defenseman Roman Kinal has signed an ATO tryout with the San Jose Barracuda's, the AHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced Wednesday morning by general manager Joe Will.

In his senior season, Kinal appeared in all 35 games for UConn, scoring two goals with five assists for seven points and 21 blocked shots.

In his five year career, Kinal has skated in 121 games for the Huskies, scoring seven goals with 20 assists for 27 points and blocked 91 shots. Kinal has had a multi-point game five times over his career.
