Softball loses to Boston University

BOSTON, Mass. – The UConn softball team dropped their midweek matchup at Boston University in a pitcher's duel Wednesday afternoon.
Hope Jenkins started for the Huskies going the distance in the circle. She ended with seven strikeouts, only giving up three hits, with three 1-2-3 innings.
Much of the game was a pitcher's duel as the first hit of the game didn't come until the third inning. The Huskies were able to get runners on, but could not string together runs, leaving seven runners on base.
The Terriers broke the deadlock in the fourth inning with a solo home run giving them the one run lead.
UConn will return to BIG EAST action this weekend as they travel to Villanova for a three game series with the Wildcats.
