Kantowski Joins UConn Golf Program

STORRS, Conn. – Florida high school senior Jackson Kantowski has decided to join high school teammate Alex Heard and continue his golf career at UConn, starting with the 2023-24 school year.
Kantowski and Heard are golf teammates at Boca Raton (Fla.) Community High School, where they played under Coach Jordan Hernandez and were team co-captains. Heard committed to UConn last November, along with Bradley Sawka from Ellington (Conn.). Kantowski becomes the third member of UConn's incoming recruiting class.
"I chose UConn because the great educational opportunities," Kantowsaki said, "and because of the amazing athletic programs."
Kantowski has a impressive credentials, starting with being named First Team All-County. He also was a Jim Mclean Jr. Champion and the HJGT South Florida Fall Junior Open champion. He finished second in the SFPGA Osprey Point Open, second at the HJGT Palm Beach Junior Open, and seventh individually in this year's FHSJAA state tournament.
Kantowski also played varsity hockey at Boca Ration Community High, scoring 10 goals this past season.
Heard, Sawka and Kantowski will join a team that tentatively will bring back rising seniors Tommy Dallahan and Jimmy Paradise, rising juniors Trevor Lopez and Vikram Konanki, and rising sophomores Eric Boulger, Colin Spencer, Connor Goode and Chris Sacher.
