Field Hockey Announces 2023 Schedule

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn Field Hockey team has announced its 18-game schedule for the upcoming 2023 season. The Huskies will open with a pair of exhibitions games, hosting New Hampshire on August 18 before traveling to 2022 NCAA Tournament participant, UAlbany, on August 20.
The Huskies will be on the road for much of the season, with 12 away games scheduled and only six home games on the UConn campus. The Huskies will kick-off the 2023 season on the road at St. Joseph's on August 25. The furthest the Huskies will travel is to Raleigh, NC to play the Duke Blue Devils.
UConn will face five 2022 NCAA Tournament teams this season, with road games at St. Joseph's, Syracuse (Sept. 10), Princeton (Sept. 17) and Liberty (Oct. 20), and a home match against Delaware (Sept. 24).
The 2023 home schedule gets underway on September 1 when the Huskeis welcome Rutgers to Nancy Stevens Field. Other home games for the Huskies include Harvard (Sept. 3), Georgetown (Sept. 22), Providence (Oct. 13), and Old Dominion (Oct. 27).
Other road matchups feature Monmouth (Aug. 27), Cornell (Sept. 8), Temple (Sept. 15), Villanova (Sept. 29), Quinnipiac (Oct. 6), UMass (Oct. 8), Boston College (Oct. 15) and Duke (Oct. 22).
The BIG EAST Tournament is scheduled to be held at Temple University from November 2-5.
