UConn Volleyball Announces 2023 Schedule

STORRS, Conn. - Heading into a historic season with a new home for UConn volleyball, head coach Ellen Herman-Kimball and the Huskies announced their 2023 schedule.
The Huskies will play 30 matches during the regular season, which is divided between 12 non-conference contests before their 18-game BIG EAST slate.
With a new home for UConn volleyball in the fall, the Huskies will open the season in the renovated Freitas Ice Forum for an exhibition against Fairfield (Aug. 17) before hitting the road for a tournament hosted by 2022 NCAA Tournament contender Georgia. While in Athens, the Huskies will face the likes of Georgia (Aug. 25), Western Carolina (Aug.26) and Florida State (Aug. 27).
The Huskies will return to the Nutmeg state for the next two weekends for a weekend at home (Sept. 1) and a tournament hosted by Yale University Bulldogs (Sept. 8).
UConn will wrap up the non-conference slate the weekend of Sept. 15 as they will welcome Michigan State, Binghamton, and Brown to Storrs.
UConn will begin BIG EAST play at St. Johns (Sept. 22) as part of a two-game road swing. The Huskies will return to Storrs for a two-game homestand to welcome BIG EAST runner up and NCAA Tournament contender Marquette (Sept.30) and DePaul (Oct. 1).
Following another two-game road trip at Villanova (Oct. 6) and Georgetown (Oct. 7), the Huskies will kick off a four-game homestand beginning with Xavier (Oct. 13) and closing with the 2022 BIG EAST tournament champions Creighton (Oct. 20).
The Huskies remaining games on the road will be at DePaul (Oct. 27), Marquette (Oct 28.), Butler (Nov. 10), and Xavier (Nov.12). UConn's remaining home games will be vs. Seton Hall (Nov. 3), St. Johns (Nov. 4), Georgetown (Nov.17), and finally wrapping up the regular season vs. Villanova (Nov. 18).
The BIG EAST Tournament will take place November 22-25.
