SASP Announces 2023 Kinsman and Courage Award

The Student-Athlete Success Program would like to celebrate the 2023 Kinsman Award and Courage Award winners. These highly prestigious awards recognize student-athletes who have exemplified what it means to be a Husky.  Â
The Donald Kinsman Award is named after the original director of the Student-Athlete Success Program (formerly known as the Counseling Program for Intercollegiate Athletes). This award is given annually to honor holistic development with respect to academic achievement and/or improvement, athletic achievement and/or improvement, leadership, service, and evidence of character.  Â
The Courage Award is given to a Husky who exemplifies courage in their own handling of personal challenge or adversity, or demonstrates courageous citizenship through support of their peers or community in a formidable situation. Â

 Both Claire and Valentin have shown tremendous growth, academic and athletic achievement, leadership, service, and, most importantly, are both of impeccable character. They epitomize what it means to be a Husky and are each highly deserving recipients of the 2023 Donald Kinsman Award.

There is no question both Roman and Landyn have exemplified courage in their handlings of personal challenge or adversity and we are honored to call them the 2023 Courage Award winners and Huskies Forever.
