WSOC Travels to Cambridge to Face Harvard on Sunday

STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's soccer team (1-0) hits the road for the first time this season on Sunday, August 27 to face 2022 NCAA participant Harvard (1-0) at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.

The Huskies are coming off a 2-0 victory in their season opener against Boston University last Sunday. Abbey Jones and Chioma Okafor tallied goals while the Huskies secured their first shutout of the year.

Harvard opened its season on Friday with three second half goals to beat Fairfield, 3-0. The Crimson were picked second in the Ivy League preseason poll.

All-time the Huskies are 26-6-1 against the Crimson with the last meeting coming in 2019. UConn last traveled to Cambridge in 2016, a 3-1 victory that featured a pair of goals from Rachel Hill and goal from Maddie Damm to lift the No. 10 ranked Huskies.

Last year the Huskies finished 4-3-3 away from Morrone Stadium.
