STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut women's tennis team kicks off the first match of the spring season on Saturday, Jan. 27 against Merrimack at Magic Lincer Tennis Club in Manchester, Conn.
The Huskies finished the fall season taking part in eight invitationals including securing the Doubles A Flight Championship by junior Olivia Wright and freshman Victoria Matos at the Army West Point Invitational. Junior Isabel Petri Bere led the way in singles with a strong 11-4 tournament record. On the doubles side, Wright and Matos closed out the fall with a 14-4 doubles tournament record.

UConn faced Merrimack last season at home and secured a 6-1 victory. The Huskies have only faced the Warriors twice all-time, winning both contests.
