No. 11 Huskies Set to Face Boston University in Home-and-Home Series

STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut women's ice hockey team is set for a home-and-home series against Boston University on Friday, Feb. 23 in Boston and then at home on Saturday, Feb. 24 at Toscano Family Ice Forum. The Senior Day ceremony will be on Saturday for the last regular season game.Â
The Huskies enter the matchup No. 11 in the USCHO national poll with an overall record of 20-7-5 and a Hockey East record of 17-4-4. UConn stands atop the leaderboard with 55 points. Last time out, the Huskies fell to Vermont 3-0 last Saturday for their first conference loss since October 20. Leading the way for the Huskies are senior forward Jada Habisch and graduate student Coryn Tormala with a combined 47 points including 19 combined goals and 28 assists. Â

Heading into the matchup, the Terriers are 14-15-3 overall and 12-12-1 in conference play. The Terriers are placed sixth in the conference standings. Last time out, BU bested Merrimack 4-0 last Saturday on the road. Leading the way for the Terriers is forward Lacy Martin with 27 points including 14 goals scored and 13 assists. Â
UConn faced BU once earlier this season taking a 5-2 win at home. The Huskies are 16-31-9 all-time against the Terriers.Â
