Marc Morrison Earns Big East Field Athlete of the Week Honors

STORRS, Conn. - The BIG EAST Conference announced junior Marc Morrison as the BIG EAST Men's Field Athlete of the Week after a dominant performance at the Crimson Elite on Friday, Feb. 2.

In the long jump, Morrison leaped to a 7.59m result for first place. That mark ranks him second all-time in UConn program history along with being the best mark in the conference, second best in the northeast region, and tied for 36th best in the nation.

Also in the men's long jump, senior Richmond Kwaateng placed fourth with a mark of 7.36m.

Morrison and Kwaateng both compete in the four-meet weekend up ahead with the Valentine Invite, BC Invitational, Yale Invite, and the Tyson Invite this weekend.
