No. 11 Huskies Welcome No. 15 Princeton to Storrs This Weekend

STORRS, Conn. – No. 11 UConn women's hockey (2-2) is set to welcome the No. 15 Princeton Tigers to the Toscano Family Ice Forum for a two-game series this weekend. The series is set to begin on Friday, October 17 at 2:30pm. The series will conclude on Saturday, October 18 at 1:00pm. All games will be streamed on ESPN+.
UConn is coming off a top ten win over No. 9 Clarkson their last time out on the ice. The Huskies split the weekend series with Clarkson, pushing UConn to 2-2 on the season.
Senior forwards Brooke Campbell and Megan Woodworth are the Huskies leading goal scorers this season with two a-piece. UConn netminder Tia Chan has had an excellent start to her graduate season as she leads Hockey East in save percentage (0.948). Chan has made 127 saves through four games this season.
A Look at Princeton
The Princeton Tigers will open their 2025-26 season this weekend. Princeton is coached by Courtney Kessel entering her first season. The Tigers started the season at No. 14 in the USCHO Preseason Poll but have since moved to No. 15 in the most recent weekly rankings. Princeton was voted to finish in sixth place in the ECAC Preseason Poll. The Tigers return ECAC All-League players in Issy Wunder, Rosie Klein and Mackenzie Alexander to this year's roster. Wunder was named a top ten finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Award a season ago.
Series History
The last time these two programs met was back during the 2015-16 season. Princeton has won the last four straight matchups dating back to the 2012-13 season. UConn trails the all-time series, 2-10-2. The Huskies lone two wins came in 2013 (Jan. 2, 5-1), and 2008 (Oct. 24, 3-0).
