HAMDEN, Conn. — UConn surged in the fourth quarter to secure a 4-2 victory over Quinnipiac with three goals scored in the final period.

The match began with both teams establishing their defenses, as Natalie McKenna took her position at goal for UConn. The opening quarter was marked by a series of fouls from both sides, with UConn committing three infractions. Despite a solid defensive start, they found themselves trailing after Mo Quaile scored for Quinnipiac at 13:07. The quarter concluded with Quinnipiac holding a 1-0 lead.

UConn leveled the score early in the second quarter with a goal from Lene Bunjes, assisted by Juana Garcia at the 20:03 mark. Despite multiple fouls, UConn maintained pressure against Quinnipiac.
