Huskies Set for Matchups Against Temple and Yale

STORRS, Conn. - Â The UConn women's field hockey team is back in action as they hit the road to face BIG EAST foe Temple, before returning home for an in-state rivalry matchup against Yale University. The Huskies are set to face off against Temple Friday Oct. 10 at 3pm while welcoming Yale to Storrs Sunday Oct. 12 at 1pm.
The Huskies are coming off one of their biggest wins of the 2025 season, upsetting no.14 UMass on the road by a final of 2-1. The Huskies came from behind, scoring two in the fourth quarter to upset UMass and take home their first ranked win of the season. The Huskies enter the weekend matchups posting a 5-5 overall record and a 2-1 record in BIG EAST action. The Huskies are currently tied with Temple and Old Dominion for second place in the BIG EAST with a 2-1 record.
Temple enters the matchup posting a 9-2 overall record with a 2-1 record in BIG EAST action and are coming off a BIG EAST win over Quinnipiac. The last time these two teams faced was in the Big East championship game which ended with UConn taking home their 21 BIG EAST Title.
Following the matchup with Temple, the Huskies will return home and welcome in-state rival Yale to Storrs. The Bulldogs enter the matchup posting a 7-2 overall record and will face off against Columbia before making the trip to UConn. These two teams faced off against each other last season, with UConn coming away with the 3-2 victory.
