No. 1 UConn Travels to South Florida Tuesday

STORRS, Conn. – The top-ranked UConn women's basketball team (7-0) returns to Tampa on familiar rival South Florida (5-3) in the Yuengling Center on Tuesday at 5 p.m. The game will air on ESPN2 and the UConn Sports Network from Learfield (FOX Sports 97.9).
The Huskies won their 2015 and 2025 NCAA Championships in Tampa, Fla.
UConn is 142-0 all-time vs. American Athletic Conference opponents. As members of the league from 2013-20, UConn went 139-0 in conference regular season and tournament games.
Six Huskies scored in double digits as UConn opened BIG EAST play with a 104-39 win at Xavier on Sunday. Sophomore Allie Ziebell led UConn with 16 points, including five three pointers, in 16 minutes vs. the Musketeers. Sophomore Sarah Strong had 14 points, six rebounds, eight assists and six steals vs. Xavier. UConn scored 45 bench points vs. the Musketeers and 42 points off turnovers.
UConn is 34-0 all-time vs. South Florida. This is UConn's first trip to USF since Feb. 16, 2020, when the Huskies were members of the American. UConn won its 2015 and 2025 NCAA Championships in Tampa.
South Florida beat New Orleans, 90-58, on Sunday. This season, Edyn Battle leads the Bulls with 14.2 points per game. Michele Woods-Baxter was named the interim head coach of South Florida in October.
The Huskies return to Gampel Pavilion this Sunday to host DePaul at 1 p.m. Before the game, UConn will officially retire No. 10 in honor of Sue Bird. The game will air on FS1. Limited tickets remain here.
