STORRS, Conn. The UConn men's soccer team (1-0) is set to host the No. 8 ranked UMASS Minutemen (1-0) at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium on Sunday, August 24. Kickoff is set for 7:00pm and will be available to stream on UConn+ and on WAAX in Connecticut.  TICKETS
The Huskies opened the 2025 season with a 1-0 win on Thursday night at former BIG EAST rival, Syracuse. The win marks the third straight season the Huskies have been victorious on opening night. Senior forward Austin Brummett scored the game winner for the Huskies. Redshirt-sophomore Kyle Durham made his first career start in between the sticks, earning his first career clean sheet, making four saves in the win.Â
A Look at UMASS:
The UMASS Minutemen earned a 3-2 victory over Siena in their opening match of the 2025 season. The Minutemen are coached by Fran O'Leary entering his 11th season as the head coach. UMASS returns 14 players from their 2024 roster that made a run to the Elite Eight in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.  The Minutemen return key starters in their back line in Aidan Kelly, Matt Fordham, and Alex Brown. UMASS also returns their leader in assists from a year ago in Matt Cence. The Minutemen were voted to finish in third place in The Summit League Preseason Coaches' Poll.Â

The Huskies are 32-24-6Â all-time against the Minutemen.Â
