No. 1 Huskies to Face Seton Hall Saturday

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The top-ranked UConn women's basketball team (20-0, 10-0 BIG EAST) takes on Seton Hall (14-5, 8-2) Saturday at noon in Walsh Gymnasium. The game will air on peacock/NBC Sports Network and the UConn Sports Network from Learfield (The River 105.9).
Saturday's game was originally scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 25, but was moved due to incoming inclement weather.
Sophomore Sarah Strong had 25 points, eight rebounds and five assists to lead UConn to an 83-42 win at Georgetown on Thursday. Graduate student Azzi Fudd, a native of Arlington, Va., had 19 points, six rebounds and five assists vs. the Hoyas.
The Huskies had 19 steals, led by five from junior Ashlynn Shade, and scored 35 points off turnovers.
UConn is 62-10 all-time vs. Seton Hall. The Huskies have won the last 42 meetings between the teams. The teams faced off in Hartford on Jan. 3, an 84-48 win for UConn. Sophomore Sarah Strong had 18 points while graduate student Azzi Fudd had 16 for UConn.
UConn freshman Gandy Malou-Mamel attended high school at Gill St. Bernard's School in Gladstone, N.J.
Seton Hall beat Providence, 73-57, on Tuesday. The Pirates have won their last four games since facing UConn. This season, Savannah Catalon leads Seton Hall with 14.3 points per game. Head coach Anthony Bozzella is in his 13th season at Seton Hall.
