Tia Chan Named Hockey East Goaltender of the Year, Five Huskies Selected to All-Star Teams

STORRS, Conn. – UConn goaltender Tia Chan was announced as the 2025-26 Women's Hockey East Goaltender of the Year for the second consecutive season. The UConn women's hockey team had a total of five Hockey East All-Star selections.
Graduate Tia Chan (Hamilton, Ontario) has made program history as the first Husky netminder to earn back-to-back Hockey East Goaltender of the Year honors. In her final season in Storrs, Chan has anchored the Huskies defense, starting in 32 of UConn's 34 games, recording a 23-7-2 record. She has made a career high 938 saves this season, posting a .947 save percentage, ranking third nationally. Chan's five shutouts this season are a league best among Hockey East goaltenders. She ranks second in the conference in goals against average (1.62).
In addition to being named Goaltender of the Year, Chan earned First Team All-Star honors for the second consecutive season, marking her fifth Hockey East All-Star selection of her career.
Three Huskies were named Second Team All-Stars, Claire Murdoch (Toronto, Ontario), Julia Pellerin (Windham, N.H.), and Maya Serdachny (Edmonton, Alberta).
Murdoch earned Second Team All-Star honors for the second consecutive season. After being named the 2024-25 Hockey East Freshman of the Year, Murdoch has continued to play a key role for UConn, playing in all 34 games, totaling 29 points on 11 goals and 18 assists. She ranks 8th in Hockey East in assists, and 6th in points. Murdoch netted her first career hat trick last weekend, marking her 9th multi-point game this season.
Pellerin was named a Second Team All-Star, the third time she has received Hockey East All-Star honors in her career. The junior forward has made an immediate impact for the Huskies in her first season in Storrs, playing in all 34 games, scoring 11 goals and recording career high 15 assists, totaling 26 points. Pellerin has netted six game-winning goals this season, ranking third nationally. She is second in Hockey East in shots this year with 181.
Serdachny earned Hockey East All-Star honors for the first time in her career. The junior defender enjoyed a breakout campaign, appearing in all 34 games for the Huskies while totaling career highs in goals (5), assists (13), points (18), shots (93), and blocks (57). Serdachny scored her first career game-winning goal this season, an overtime winner at Providence (Feb. 6, 2026). She finished with a team best +18 in plus/minus.
Kyla Josifovic (Burlington, Ontario) earned her first career Hockey East All-Star honors, being named to the Third Team in her senior season. Serving as team captain for the Huskies this year, Josifovic has led UConn in points throughout the year, totaling career highs in points (34), goals (11) and assists (23). She has also been an integral piece to the Huskies special teams this season, scoring a team high five goals on the power play. Josifovic's 34 points ranks 4th in Hockey East.
